Each era, each society that has something to tell about itself has its own “Hamlet”, but so often the women around him are forgotten and neglected.

In HKSTG's unique rendition of Hamlet, you are invited to go on an emotional roller-coaster ride with Hamlet's neglected lover, Ophelia. Set in China during the turbulent 1920s, Ophelia like other women in her own era is quite powerless under the hands of three other men in her life - her father, brother and lover. But is that the reason why she drowns herself in the end?
